Finals Day 2022

Finals Day was on Saturday 13 August
It was one of the hottest days of the year but we were treated to two excellent matches with play of the highest standard.
The Ladies' Final was between Irene Scott and Ann Smith. In spite of 30 degrees of heat, the ladies played 24 ends before Irene was declared the winner. Thanks to Ruth Hewetson for umpiring in such testing conditions.
The Men's Final was between John Sibley and David Stobo. Both were at the top of their game but David won the match by 21 points to 17. Mike Scott was the match umpire.
The spectators had watched some great bowls play and afterwards were treated to a free drink and snacks from the bar. What's not to like?
