Sad news about a former president of the club
It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that Stan McManus passed away in his sleep on Wednesday 5th October with his family at his bedside.
Stan was a member of Wetheral Bowling Club from 1998 and enjoyed playing bowls especially when he won a trophy. He also donated a trophy for the Jubilee Cup Competition. He was in his element at the presentation evenings where he would dance the night away and on the bowls tours where he could entertain a new audience. Stan was president of the club in 2002.
