Useful information from the acting club secretary

 Here is the Bowling Club News, in brief:

End of outdoor season – The last formal roll-up will be Friday 12 September. The green will remain open for informal play until Sunday 21 September.
Short Mat Season – The Short Mat season will formally commence on Wednesday 1 October. Practice may be possible from 22 September, subject to clearing the room and getting the mats down.
Flower Tubs – Thanks go to those members who adopted a flower tub this year, and also to Stewart and Sandra, who assisted. The winner of the most attractive tub will be announced at the Presentation Evening.
Coffee Morning – The next coffee morning will be held on Saturday 4 October at 10.00am, in the bower.
Presentation Night – The Presentation Night will be held on Friday 17 October at 7.30pm, in The Auctioneer, Carlisle. Please see the notice board to sign up and see the menu. As usual, please bring a prize for the raffle.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) – This years AGM will be held on Monday 24 November at 10.30am, in the bower. Nomination forms for club officers etc will go up on the notice board on 31 October.
Club Tour 2026 – Next years club tour is now fully booked. If you would like to go on the reserve list please contact Ruth Hewetson.
